Come and join Anna, owner of Grassroots Yarn, at Nostalgia on McCalla for a Sunday afternoon of knitting basics. 

On May 29th from 1:00 till approximately 2:00pm learn how to knit, purl, cast on and bind off. The techniques demonstrated will be in the continental style of knitting, which is both right and left hand friendly. 

Objectives:
Intro to tools
Techniques to knit, purl, cast on, bind off
Approximately two hour session
Supplies required (will be updated once the pattern is chosen):
Worsted weight yarn, light in color
knitting needles size 8 or 10
scissors-optional

Cost: $15 per person, if you purchase your own supplies
or $35 that includes your choice of yarn from Grassroots Yarn booth and knitting needles, while supplies last (this can be purchased the day of the workshop or I can meet you another day at the shop before the class, please notify me if this is what you prefer).

A scarf pattern will be made available as part of purchase. I will also create a list with useful resources and websites for your knitting journey. As part of the educational experience we will work on a small project so that you can have experience with the techniques of beginning knitting.
